Misty Glaze were called out to a stunning detached house in Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire. We were honoured to find out that the customer was aware of our glass replacement ONLY services and knew exactly what to expect from Misty Glaze.
There were 27 double glazed sealed units within the Crystal Windows frames. Some of the units had blown and had white stains with condensation within the glass panes. The glass units had the older style gold Georgian bars between the panes, which the customer wanted removed from their existing double glazed window frames. Our Sawbridgeworth customer provided rough window sizes by phone, which gave us the ability to provide a free quotation the very same day!
What we did
After a full inspection of the double glazed windows, the frames were in fantastic condition. All of the locks, hinges and handles were still in working condition. This is typical when dealing with high-end products that Crystal Windows manufacture.
The 27 double glazed windows were carefully measured by our qualified surveyor to match the existing glass specifications and the glass doors were built with toughened safety glass (BS EN12150 Class 1). Once the site survey was complete, the double glazed glass sizes were sent to the manufacturing process. After 5 days the new units were manufactured, delivered and inspected. Day 7 the Misty Glaze glaziers returned to Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire to install the 27 new glass units.
Following strict FENSA regulations, each unit was fitted onto a new double sided glazing security tape. After 5 hours of continuous hard work, the window frames were fully restored. It was a very rewarding feeling when our Sawbridgeworth customer said, “WOW! It’s a complete transformation!”.
